LOSC Lille: "Septembre en or" an operation to fund research into children's cancer

LOSC Lille (Ligue 1 Uber Eats) and its Endowment Fund are joining forces with the Oscar Lambret Centre, a regional cancer research centre, as part of the "Septembre en or" (September in Gold) operation to collect donations for cancer research, announced the French club on 05/09/2022.

Via a dedicated platform, the club's supporters are encouraged to run, walk, swim, cycle or scooter throughout the period from 01 to 30/09/2022, September being recognised as the international Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. Each kilometre walked will be converted into a donation of €1. Fans are also called upon to relay the operation on social media and each interaction will be converted into a kilometre.

"The LOSC Endowment Fund has already enabled Isak and Sihem, young children with cancer and patients of the Oscar Lambret Centre, to run 1 symbolic kilometre at the Domaine de Luchin, alongside players Benjamin André, Lucas Chevalier, Noémie Mouchon, Lorena Azzaro (D2 Féminine), four youngsters from the training centre, supporters and club employees to boost the collection," added the club, which has…
