LDLC Arena: "A modern venue in terms of environmental approach focused on energy saving" (JM. Aulas)

"As we have just begun the construction of the LDLC Arena (in January 2022), all the stars are aligned. We are going to have a venue that will be the most modern in Europe thanks to technology, but also in terms of its environmental approach, which is focused on energy saving. As such, it will be an example," said Jean-Michel Aulas, president of OL Groupe, on the sidelines of the ceremony organised for the installation of the first seats of the future events venue, near the construction site located in Décines-Charpieu (Rhône, FRA), on 07/09/2022.

"As reference entrepreneurs and major sports clubs (Olympique Lyonnais / LDLC ASVEL), we must express a certain number of commitments. We are therefore launching a major programme "-20 / +20": -20% on OL Groupe's energy consumption, whatever it may be. At the same time, we want to be even more autonomous in this respect. For example, we have built a photovoltaic panel facility that is one of the largest in France and we will continue in this direction," added Aulas.
