Real Madrid CF: a turnover of €721.5m (+10.4%) and net profit of €12.9m in 2021-22

Real Madrid CF (LaLiga Santander) have posted a turnover of €721.5m for the financial year 2021-22 (from 01/07/2021 to 30/06/2022), an increase of 10.4% compared to 2020-21 (€653m), announced the club after the meeting of its board of directors on 12/09/2022. These annual accounts, which exclude the ongoing Santiago Bernabéu renovation project (see below), will still need to be approved at the next ordinary general assembly scheduled for 02/10/2022.

"The economic effects of the pandemic are gradually subsiding. These effects are still lingering, however, which is why the revenue figure for this financial year 2021-22 is still lower than it was four years ago in 2017-18 and is -€100m lower than the 2019-20 budget before the pandemic," explained the Madrid (ESP) club, who estimate the loss of revenue caused by the Covid-19 crisis, from March 2020 to 30/06/2022, at nearly €400m.
