"Clubs need to be performing at better and better standards, because it is true that there is a gap between a few countries in Europe - not even the whole of Europe, but a few countries - and the rest of the world. That's why I am happy that you are representing the entire world," said Gianni Infantino (ITA/SUI), president of FIFA, addressing the 40 students of the second class of the FIFA Diploma in Club Management in New York (USA) during a video call on 17/09/2022.

"What we need to do is to close the gap, not by bringing these big Europeans down, because these big Europeans also need to continue to grow. But the rest of the world has to grow as well and ensure we have a more competitive football world out there," explained the FIFA president.

"The Diploma in Club Management includes on-site and online modules on leadership and management, sporting strategy and youth academies, marketing and communication, club operations and stadium management, governance and legal matters, and finance," said the international federation.
