EuroBasket 2022: a cumulative audience of 15.43 million viewers in Spain on Mediaset

The men's EuroBasket 2022, played from 01 to 18/09/2022 and won by the Spanish national team, posted a cumulative audience of 15.43 million viewers in Spain on the private free-TV channels Telecinco and Cuatro, as well as on the DTT channel BeMad, owned by the free-TV group Mediaset España, according to a report published by the Spanish consultancy GECA on 19/09/2022 (data from the audience measurement institute Kantar).

Among the figures in the report:

• Spain's games drew an average of 1.18 million viewers on Cuatro and Telecinco, with an average audience share of 12.7%.

• Spain - France (88-76), the final of the competition, drew an average of 3.75 million viewers on Telecinco on Sunday 18/09/2022 (game start at 20:30 CET). Audience share: 28.9%.

• Germany - Spain (91-96), semi-final of the EuroBasket 2022, was watched by an average of 2.09 million viewers on Telecinco on Friday 16/09/2022 (20:30 CET). Audience share: 20.5%.

• The final and semi-final posted an average audience share of 41.2% among 13-24 year-olds and 31.9% among 25-44 year-olds on Telecinco.
