FC Barcelona: a provisional budget of €1.255bn for 2022-23, +23.4% compared to 2021-22 revenues

"The board of directors has approved the budget for the 2022-23 season which includes an operating income budget of €1.255bn, with a profit forecast of €274m," announced FC Barcelona (LaLiga Santander) on 19/09/2022. The revenue Barça is aiming to achieve is 23.4% higher than the €1.017bn it posted at the end of the 2021-22 financial year, for a net profit of €98m.

The Catalan club notably sold 49% of Barça Studios - its subsidiary dedicated to the creation, production and marketing of its audiovisual and digital offering - to Socios.com (in July 2022) and then Orpheus Media (in August 2022), who each acquired 24.5% of the company for €100m, raising a total of €200m for FC Barcelona as part of the deal. The club had also previously sold 25% of its domestic TV rights for 25 years to Sixth Street in June (10%) and July 2022 (15%), for €519m.

The approval of the 2021-22 annual accounts and the 2022-23 provisional budget is on the agenda of the next ordinary assembly of delegate members, which will take place on Sunday 09/10/2022 by video conference.
