Formula 1: a record 24 Grands Prix on the calendar in 2023, season to start in Bahrain on 05/03/2023

The Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) presented the 2023 Formula 1 Grand Prix calendar on 20/09/2022. A record 24 races are scheduled, with a new GP in Las Vegas (Nevada, USA) on 18/11/2023, the penultimate race of the season. The season will end in Abu Dhabi (UAE) on the weekend of 24-26/11/2023.

While the French Grand Prix has not been included in the 2023 calendar, the Chinese Grand Prix is making a comeback after being cancelled for the previous three seasons due to the pandemic. The Belgian and Monaco Grand Prix were suspended for some time, but are now included in the 2023 calendar. Following the cancellation of the Russian Grand Prix in 2022 due to the war in Ukraine, there will be no F1 race held in Russian in 2023.

The Qatar Grand Prix will return to the calendar after a first edition in November 2021 and will be held for the second time on 08/10/2022. Four races will be held in the Middle East in 2023 (Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, United Arab Emirates and Qatar).
