Barclays WSL: DAZN acquires broadcasting rights in Italy, Spain and Japan (2022-2024)

DAZN has acquired the broadcasting rights to the Barclays Women's Super League and the Women's FA Cup for the next two seasons until 2023-24 in several territories including Italy, Spain and Japan, announced the OTT platform on 21/09/2022.

The agreement also includes several European territories (Albania, Balkans, Bulgaria, Greece, Cyprus, Hungary, Malta, Romania, CIS and Turkey). DAZN will broadcast live for free, via its dedicated Women's Champions League YouTube channel, at least two Barclays WSL games per matchday and several Women's FA Cup matches.

"This is the latest in a series of women's football rights to be acquired by DAZN, including a four-year global deal to broadcast UEFA Women's Champions League, a five-year deal with Spain's Liga F (women's first division), a global deal with Women's International Champions Cup and an eight-year contract to broadcast WE League (women's first division) in Japan," explained the streaming platform.
