Carlos "Ocelote" Rodríguez has resigned as CEO of G2 Esports, a Berlin (GER) based organisation that the former Spanish esports player founded in December 2013, according to G2 on 23/09/2022. This announcement comes just days before the start of Worlds 2022, the League of Legends (Riot Games) World Championships in which G2 will be participating from 29/09/2022.

Ocelote was initially suspended for eight weeks by his organisation because of a video published on his Twitter account (on 17/09/202) in which Andrew Tate, an openly sexist American personality banned from many social networks for hate speech and accused of rape and human trafficking, was seen.

In response to the publication of this video and the multiple accusations, the Spanish leader, who is very active on social networks, had tweeted on 17/09/2022, "Nobody will ever be able to police my friendships. I draw my line here. I party with whoever the **** I want", and liked several tweets from Andrew Tate.
