Olympique de Marseille: rent for the Orange Vélodrome up by €1.5m (+30%) in 2023

"We have obtained a new agreement with Olympique de Marseille (Ligue 1 Uber Eats) which will bring in a minimum of €6.5m and up to €9m for the people of Marseille (Bouches-du-Rhône, FRA). In 2023, the fixed part of the rent paid by the club to operate the stadium will increase by €1.5m, or 30% compared to the 2017-2022 cycle (€5m per year). However, this increase is currently only for one year: "We are in a period of uncertainty, everything is changing, and if I were to freeze the rent today, I could bear the consequences. I prefer to be able to adapt to a tense situation," explained Benoît Payan.
