esports: Misfits Premier's place in the French League of Legends championship put on sale by Webedia

Webedia, a French group specialised in online leisure and entertainment, has launched a call for candidates to choose "the best possible structure" to replace, within the French League of Legends and from the 2023 season, the Misfits Premier team whose parent company Misfits Gaming Group is leaving the LoL competitive scene, according to the organisers of the LFL on 23/09/2022. Webedia has been organising the competition since 2019 under a sublicensing agreement with the US publisher Riot Games.

This call for candidates is open until, and including, 05/10/2022. "Interested teams respond by sending Webedia and Riot Games an application file as well as a financial offer for the slot transaction (place). Webedia and Riot Games will shortlist the best applications to reach a shortlist of three to five candidates. The selection is based on a number of criteria, including the strength of the structure, the future vision for the development of its brand and the team's financial offer," explained Webedia.
