Luxembourg: Paul Philipp re-elected president of the federation for a fourth term

Paul Phillip, 63, was re-elected as president of the FLF (Luxembourg Football Federation) at the Congress of the Federation on 11/10/2014.

Phillip Paul, a former manager of the Luxembourg national team from 1985 to 2011, has served as president of the FLF since 2004, and will begin a fourth term as head of the Luxembourg federation.

  • Luxembourg is in last place (1 point) Group C qualifying for Euro 2016 (finals in France from 10/06 to 10/07/2014), 8 points behind Slovakia, first in the group (9 points ) after three matchdays.
  • Luxembourg, 127th in the FIFA rankings, faces Ukraine (Group C, Matchday 4) in Luxembourg, on 15/11/2014.
  • Spain, Macedonia and Belarus are also in Group C.
    • The top two finishers will qualify for the finals.
    • The third place finisher could be automatically qualified as "the best third place finisher" or contest in the play-offs to qualify for the final tournament.
