Germany: Interwetten (sports betting), partner of the men's national team (2023-2026)

Interwetten, a Maltese sports betting and gambling operator, has become the "official sports betting provider" of the Deutscher Fussball Bund (DFB) for four years from 01/01/2023, announced German Football Association on 26/09/2022. The agreement covers "the advertising rights for the men's national team and the U21 team."

"As part of the partnership, Interwetten will acquire extensive assets, including perimeter advertising, hospitality and integration into the DFB's internet, social media and print communications. In addition to increasing brand awareness for Interwetten, the focus is on establishing the individualised entertainment offer in combination with fair betting products," explained the body.

bwin, another Gibraltar-based sports betting operator owned by the British group Entain plc, extended its partnership with the DFB "until the end of 2026", on 06/04/2022.
