Qatar 2022: SC for Delivery & Legacy responds to Hummel's accusations regarding workers' conditions

"Qatar's reforms are acknowledged by the International Labour Organization (ILO) and International Trade Union Conference (ITUC) as a benchmark in the region," announced the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy (SC) for the 2022 World Cup, on 29/09 2022.

The SC reacted to the stance taken by the Danish Football Association (DBU) and its equipment supplier hummel on 28/09/2022 during the presentation of the official Danish national team kits, on which the brand and DBU logos appear faded. "With the Danish national team's new jerseys, we wanted to send a dual message. We don’t wish to be visible during a tournament that has cost thousands of people their lives. We support the Danish national team all the way, but that isn’t the same as supporting Qatar as a host nation," said Hummel.
