Mutua Madrileña, a Spanish insurance company, has extended its title sponsorship of the Mutua Madrid Open, an ATP Masters 1000 and WTA 1000 tournament held at the Caja Mágica de Madrid (ESP), for an additional season (2023-2027), announced Madrid Trophy Promotion, the tournament's organising company owned by ING, on 30/09/2022.

The insurance company has had the naming rights to the Madrid tournament since its creation in 2002. "The Mutua Madrid Open generates €110m in economic benefits for the city of Madrid thanks to the international exposure of the city, the growth in tourism (30% of its 300,000 spectators are foreigners) and the creation of jobs. In this respect, the tournament generates 4,000 direct jobs in Madrid, the vast majority of them for young people," said Mutua Madrileña.

The Madrid City Council voted in favour of an investment of €18m for the construction of a covered court with a capacity of 10,000 spectators at the Caja Mágica complex from 2025, on 08/05/2022. This project will be co-financed in equal parts by the City of Madrid and Madrid Trophy Promotion. The…
