Women's Euro 2022: attendance, TV rights & audience records (UEFA/The FA Impact Report by EY)

The Women's Euro 2022 final (England - Germany, 2-1 after extra time) was played in front of 87,192 spectators at Wembley (London, ENG) on 31/07/2022 and the average attendance for the 31 matches of the competition was 18,544: these are two of the record-breaking figures contained in a report produced by Ernst and Young (EY, English auditing firm) on the impact of the competition held in England from 06 to 31/07/2022, published by UEFA and The Football Association on 04/10/2022.

"In addition to UEFA Women's Euro 2022 breaking several attendance, broadcast and social media engagement records, the report shows the key statistics of operational success, the increase in new opportunities for female participation and indicators of the future legacy of the tournament," explained the two bodies.

⚽️ A total of 574,875 spectators were present in the stadiums, including 110,555 international spectators from 104 countries. A record number.

⚽️ The value of the media rights for the Women's Euro increased by 289% compared to the previous edition (in the Netherlands in 2017).
