2030 World Cup: Portugal and Spain include Ukraine in their bid to host the competition

"The Royal Spanish Football Federation and the Portuguese Football Federation (FPF) have incorporated the Ukrainian Football Association (UAF) into the Iberian Bid to organise the 2030 World Cup. The proposal has the unconditional support of UEFA in a global project that transforms European soccer into an exceptional situation," announced the RFEF and the FPF, at the UEFA headquarters in Nyon (SUI), on 05/10/2022.

"With the full support of Aleksander Ceferin (UEFA president), the Iberian bid incorporates the federation chaired by Andriy Pavelko in order to build bridges and project a message of unity, solidarity and generosity from all of European football," explained the Spanish and Portuguese Federations.

Luis Rubiales, president of the RFEF, and Fernando Gomes, president of the FPF, understand that "there is nothing better than a world of football to deliver a message that will serve as a source of inspiration in the future."
