MLS: American Rob Geoffroy becomes the chief financial officer of the Atlanta franchise

The American Rob Geoffroy has been appointed the CFO of Atlanta, announced the MLS expansion franchise on 06/10/2014. Rob Geoffroy served as vice-president in charge of finance of the Atlanta Falcons NFL (League of American Football) since 2006.

The city of Atlanta (Georgia, USA) was selected to be the home the 22nd MLS franchise on 16/04/2014. The future franchise, which will make its debut in the North American league for the 2017 season, is owned by Arthur Blank, co-founder of The Home Depot, a home equipment distribution company, and owner of the NFL Atlanta Falcons.

  • The Englishman Darren Eales was named president of the MLS Atlanta franchise on 10/09/2014.
    • Darren Eales, 42 years old, served as executive director of Tottenham Hotspur (Barclays Premier League) since 2010.
