Spain: Finetwork (telecoms) acquires naming rights to the women's first division for 2022-2025

Finetwork, a Spanish telecommunications company, has acquired the naming rights for the Spanish women's first division, which will be known as the "Finetwork Liga F" for three seasons (2022-2025), announced the Spanish professional women's football league (Liga Profesional de Fútbol Femenino, LPFF) on 06/10/2022.

Finetwork thus becomes the first partner of the women's professional league, whose inaugural season began on 17/09/2022 after the first matchday was postponed due to a referees' strike. Created in June 2022, the constitutive statutes of the LPFF were unanimously approved by the CSD board of directors on 14/03/2022. Until 2021-22, the Spanish women's first division was organised by the RFEF under the name "Primera Iberdrola", as part of a naming agreement with Iberdrola (wind energy) which initially ran until 2024-25 (€6m).

"Furthermore, this agreement implies an alliance between the two parties that will go beyond the official naming, and will give rise to new projects that will strengthen the growth of both brands," explained the body.
