Real Betis Balompié: opening of an academy in Caracas (VEN), the club's first in South America

Real Betis Balompié (LaLiga Santander) will hold a football camp in Caracas (VEN) in December 2022, where the permanent headquarters of a new academy will be established, announced the club on 06/10/2022.

The local coaches who will run the camp will be trained on site by Real Betis technical staff. The academy, which is expected to open in early 2023, will be managed by the club through its foundation and will be supervised by the head of the club's sports department. The Real Betis Camp Caracas will be aimed at talented youngsters between the ages of five and nineteen and will be able to accommodate up to 80 footballers.

The Real Betis Academy Caracas will be the Spanish club's first fooball school in South America. "In Venezuela, we are looking forward to the arrival of a historic club like Real Betis and to developing this great project with them. The Betis philosophy and methodology are here to stay, we are happy to offer this opportunity to Venezuelan children," said Luis Olivo, sports director of the Real Betis Academy project in Venezuela.
