Forbes: K. Mbappé, the highest-paid footballer ($128m) in 2022-23, ahead of L. Messi and C. Ronaldo

French international striker Kylian Mbappé (23, Paris Saint-Germain) is the highest-paid football player in the world for the 2022-23 season, according to the US magazine Forbes' ranking of "The World's Highest-Paid Soccer Players", published on 07/10/2022. The first French player to achieve such a status, the 2018 world champion accumulates $128m (€131.3m as of 10/10/2022) in earnings, of which $110m comes directly from his sporting performances and $18m from his sponsorship deals.

In 2021-22, Kylian Mbappé generated "just" $43m in revenue, according to a previous Forbes ranking (published on 18/05/2022), a figure that has been multiplied by 5.5 in just a few months thanks mainly to the signing of a new three-year contract with Paris Saint-Germain binding the club and the player until 2025.
