Piracy: LFP obtains the blocking of access to pirate IPTV services for the second time

"The Ligue de Football Professionnel welcomes the decision handed down on 10/10/2022 by the president of the Paris Court of Justice ordering French ISPs to block access to pirate streaming and IPTV services," said the LFP on 11/10/2022.

"On the basis of Article L. 333-10 of the French Sports Code, this very important decision, which again concerns the blocking of IPTV services at the request of the LFP, will enable Arcom to request the blocking of mirror sites and sites not yet identified at the stage of the court referral and the decision rendered," explained the League.

The LFP had already welcomed a first decision by the president of the Paris Court of Justice on 17/03/2022, which ordered "for the first time in France, the blocking by French ISPs of access to pirate IPTV services."
