Qatar 2022: €215m to be distributed by FIFA to the clubs of players competing in the World Cup

$209m (€215m as of 12/10/2022) is the amount FIFA will distribute "as part of its commitment to recognise the contribution that football clubs make to the successful staging of the FIFA World Cup," said the International Federation on 11/10/2022, 40 days before the opening match of Qatar 2022 (Qatar - Ecuador on Sunday 20/11/2022).

"For the first time, clubs will be able to apply digitally (as of 11/10/2022) through the FIFA Professional Football Landscape platform (available to access below) with approximately $10,000 (€10,300) to be received for each one of the days the relevant player remains with his national team during the FIFA World Cup 2022 and the official preparation period. The compensation will be paid to all clubs for which the footballer has played in the two years prior to the FIFA World Cup 2022 (in order to take into account the qualifying phase)," explained the world body.
