Web3: "FIFA World" - FIFA's first metaverse platform, launched in collaboration with Roblox

FIFA has teamed up with Roblox, an online multiplayer video game platform with 43.2 million users connected daily, to launch "FIFA World", the world governing body's first metaverse platform, announced FIFA on 12/10/2022.

FIFA World is a virtual environment where users with their avatars can earn rewards and collect virtual items through challenges and skill games. Visa (payment solutions) and adidas (official ball) are the two FIFA partners already integrated into this metaverse via logo displays on game areas or collectibles.

"Launching today (12/10/2022), FIFA World will continue to evolve over time and adapt to celebrate FIFA's top tier tournaments, adjusting and adapting for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, the FIFA Women's World Cup 2023, and beyond. The FIFA World will also host bespoke video content, built from FIFA+'s (OTT) extensive library, alongside exciting in-game events," said the international federation.
