Formula E: a cumulative audience of 381 million viewers over the 2022 season (+20%)

The 2022 season of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship (16 races) posted a cumulative audience of 381 million viewers, a 20% increase on the previous season, announced Formula E on 13/10/2022.

Among the figures for the 2022 Formula E Championship season:
• Total viewing hours increased by 58% compared to the 2021 season;
• 216 million viewers watched the 2022 season's races live, a 10% increase over the previous season;
• 27.6 million viewers watched the Jakarta (Indonesia) E-Prix, which took place on 04/06/2022, making it the most watched race in the history of Formula E in a host country;
• the average live viewing time has increased by 28% compared to 2021.

"The combination of enhanced scheduling consistency and improved coverage of more competitive racing contributed to significant increases in audience engagement," said Formula E.

• The 2021 ABB FIA Formula E World Championship season (15 races) had posted a record cumulative audience of 316 million viewers across all platforms, up 32% versus the 2019-20 season.
