Women's Euro 2025: France submits bid featuring eight potential host cities

Lens, Lyon, Metz, Nantes, Paris, Reims, Rennes and Valenciennes are, in alphabetical order, the eight host cities selected by the FFF as part of its bid to host the UEFA Women's Euro 2025, announced the Federation on 12/10/2022, the deadline for submitting applications. The UEFA executive committee will designate the host country(ies) of the competition on 25/01/2023.

The FFF's bid is heavily focused on eco-responsibility and energy efficiency. "Of the 62 team trips planned for the competition, 59 will be made by train or bus. The FFF has also planned a structuring legacy for women's amateur and high-level football," said the French Football Federation, which has presented a bid without any host cities south of Lyon.

UEFA's specifications require the pairing of two cities to host each group. The FFF has therefore put together the following pairings: Rennes-Nantes/Lens-Valenciennes/Reims-Metz/Paris-Lyon.

The bid dossier includes two reserve host cities: Le Havre and Troyes. Grenoble and Nice, initially among the 12 pre-selected cities, are no longer part of the FFF's bid.
