English Football League: UK broadcasting rights tender launched for the cycle beginning in 2024-25

The English Football League has launched a call for tenders for the UK broadcasting rights to the Sky Bet Championship, Sky Bet League One, Sky Bet League Two, Carabao Cup and Papa Johns Trophy competitions from the 2024-25 season, announced the EFL on 13/10/2022.

"Rights for all 1,891 matches across the League, EFL Cup, EFL Trophy and all end of season play-off matches are available for prospective bidders. The League is taking a fresh and new approach to this latest rights cycle, inviting proposals that embrace innovation and offer contemporary solutions that cater for changing audience habits. Bidders must submit responses by 17:00 (18:00 CET) on 21/11/2022," explained the EFL.

The pay-TV operator Sky currently holds the UK broadcasting rights to the English League's competitions over the 2019-2024 cycle. The deal is worth £119m (€137.5m) per season, a 35% increase compared to the 2015-2019 cycle (rights also held by Sky).
