FC Bayern Munich: 2021-22 revenues of €665.7m & net profit of €12.7m; H. Hainer re-elected president

FC Bayern Munich (Bundesliga) has posted revenues of €665.7m for the 2021-22 financial year (01/07/2021 to 30/06/2022), up 3.3% compared to 2020-21 financial year (€643.9m), announced the club at its annual general meeting on 15/10/2022.

These revenues include the activities of the trading company FC Bayern München AG (in charge of the professional football section), the company Allianz Arena Stadion GmbH (in charge of the stadium) and the other subsidiaries of the club.

The Bavarian club's main source of income, revenue from sponsorship and partnerships rose to €224.2m (+8.5%), as did revenue from competitions (€159.5m), including ticket sales, which increased by 7.8%, largely due to the gradual return of fans to German stadiums in 2021-22. Merchandising revenues were down (€93.6m, -6.7%), as were TV rights to domestic competitions (€99.9m, -12.6%).

Bayern, who won the German championship for the tenth consecutive time in 2021-22, posted an EBITDA of €130.9m, up 33% compared to €98.4m in 2020-21. The club also posted a net profit of €12.7m (compared to €1.7m at the end of 2020-21).
