NBA: Amazon acquires non-exclusive broadcasting rights in Brazil from 2022-23

The American e-commerce group Amazon has acquired the non-exclusive broadcasting rights to the NBA for Brazil, from the 2022-23 season, as part of a multi-year agreement, announced the National Basketball Association on 17/10/2022. The games will be broadcast on the Prime Video platform.

"Prime Video will livestream up to 87 live regular season NBA games in the country during the 2022-23 NBA season, (and) up to four exclusive NBA games each week on Tuesdays and Thursdays throughout the regular season, in addition to up to 24 playoff games and a wide range of original NBA content throughout the season, including pre- and post- game shows, weekly programs featuring highlights, analysis and news, classic games, and other programming. Featuring live commentary in Portuguese from local announcers, NBA live games and programming will be available as part of a Prime Video subscription in Brazil," explained the NBA.
