NBA: Celtics-Sixers & Warriors-Lakers to launch the 2022-23 season on 18-19/10/2022

The 2022-23 NBA season will begin with two games, Boston Celtics - Philadelphia Sixers and Golden State Warriors - Los Angeles Lakers, to be broadcast respectively on the pay-TV channels beIN Sports 2 and beIN Sports 1 in France on the night of 18-19/10/2022 (at 01:30 and 04:00 CET respectively).

This is the 11^th consecutive NBA season to be broadcast on the channels of the pay-TV group beIN Sports France. The Qatari group, which holds the broadcasting rights in France until 2023-24, paid an estimated €4.5m per season over the 2012-2016 cycle and €7m per season for the 2016-2020 cycle, according to the French sports daily L'Équipe. TV rights could exceed €10m per season for the next cycle, according to L'Équipe.

In the United States, the NBA is looking to multiply its broadcasting rights by more than three for the next rights cycle (2025-2034) with a target of $75bn (€77bn), or $9.375bn (€9.63bn) per season, according to US media.
