Streaming: Swedish platform Viaplay to launch in the United Kingdom on 01/11/2022

The Swedish audiovisual group Viaplay will officially launch its eponymous pay streaming platform (sports, films/series) in the UK on 01/11/2022, announced the group on 18/10/2022.

Two subscription packages to access the platform will be available:

• The "films & series" subscription priced at £3.99 (€4.63) per month, including content "focused on Nordic storytelling with award-winning Viaplay Originals and curated third-party content."

• The "total" subscription priced at £14.99 (€17.38) per month, which includes the "films & series" offer as well as sports competitions for which the rights are held by Viaplay and the pay and free-TV group Premier Sports (acquired by Viaplay on 21/07/2022) in the UK.

The platform is already available in Norway, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Iceland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland and more recently in the Netherlands. Viaplay will also be rolled out in the USA, Canada, Germany, Austria and Switzerland in 2023.
