Brentford FC: QR code on shirts to raise awareness of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)

Brentford FC will be raising awareness of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) training, when they host Chelsea FC (Matchday 12 of the Premier League) at the Gtech Community Stadium on 19/10/2022 (kick-off at 19:30 local time), announced the club on 18/10/2022.

A heart-shaped QR code will appear on the players' shirts between the club's emblem and the equipment manufacturer's logo, "to encourage millions watching around the world to take two minutes to learn the basics of CPR," said Brentford. The QR code will direct viewers to an informative video on how to perform CPR, featuring two of the club's players.

The QR code will also be displayed on the giant screens around the Gtech Community Stadium (Brentford, ENG), on the club's social networks and on the coverage of the match programme. Cardiopulmonary resuscitation demonstrations will also take place around the stadium the same evening.

The initiative is part of the club's new "The Heart of West London" programme, which involves partnering with a number of charities to improve cardiac health in the local community.
