The American e-commerce group Amazon has acquired the exclusive streaming rights in the United States for the 2023 NFL Black Friday Game, which will take place on Friday 24/11/2023 (kick-off at 15:00 EST), announced the North American league on 18/10/2022. The game will be broadcast on the VoD platform Prime Video.

This is the first "Black Friday Game" organised by the NFL. Amazon is reportedly paying an estimated $50-70m (€50.83-71.17m) to exclusively stream the game, according to the US news agency the Associated Press. Amazon has been streaming the NFL, via its Prime Video platform, since the 2017 season. The group has been the exclusive broadcaster of Thursday Night Football since the 2022 season (it previously co-broadcast these games with Fox), and pays an estimated $1.2bn (€1.22bn) per season to remain the exclusive broadcaster until 2033, according to the Associated Press.

"Amazon is uniquely positioned to partner with us for this game as Black Friday is one of the most important days of the year for their business," said Hans Schroeder, chief operating officer for NFL Media.
