LFP: deployment of an AI-based video analysis tool, developed with Stats Perform

The Ligue de Football Professionnel (LFP) and its partner Stats Perform, an American company specialised in sports data capture and analysis via AI, "are strengthening their partnership with the launch of the 'Tactical View' panoramic video tool" for Ligue 1 Uber Eats clubs, announced the body on 20/10/2022.

"Since Matchday 1 of the 2022-23 season, all stadiums in the top flight have been equipped with an automatic camera equipped with artificial intelligence and supplied by Stats Perform's SPIN programme partner, Pixellot (AI technology). The system, which is capable of tracking the movement of the ball and the players, produces an ultra-wide video shot for match analysis. Thanks to this technology, all of the Ligue 1 clubs' video analysts can now have a new view of the game, live from the stadium and recorded after each matchday," explained the LFP.

Stats Perform is a partner of the LFP "for the capture and provision of sports data to clubs and the media" over the 2020-2024 cycle. The "Tactical View" tool will thus be available to Ligue 1 Uber Eats clubs for the remaining two…
