Qatar 2022/France: L'Équipe to commentate on 27 live matches without footage

27 of the 36 matches of the 2022 World Cup broadcast exclusively on pay-TV by beIN Sports France, will be commentated on live (without footage) on La chaine L'Équipe (free DTT), announced L'Équipe group on 20/10/2022.

Five of the channel's special correspondents will also be on site. In total, 200 hours of live coverage will be broadcast on La chaine L'Équipe from 14/11 to 18/12/2022. Nearly 50 columnists, including some thirty consultants, will take part in the broadcasts.

L'Équipe will represent "the largest non-broadcaster delegation in Qatar", with 21 reporters on site, including six dedicated solely to the French team, and four photographers to cover the competition. L'Équipe expects to have 20% more pages in its newspaper than in November without the World Cup. The group will also present a new digital offer on its website, called 'Doha au but', which will present a selection of content related to the competition every day at midday (including articles from the newspaper as well as digital articles).
