Transfers: FIFA adopts the regulations for its Paris-based Clearing House

The FIFA Council, meeting for the first time on OFC territory in Auckland (New Zealand), has adopted the regulations for its brand new Clearing House, "a major step in safeguarding transparency and accountability in the global transfer system," announced the International Federation on 22/10/2022.

In January 2022, the International Federation opened offices at the Hôtel de la Marine, Place de la Concorde, in Paris (8^th arrondissement, FRA), where it set up its member associations department and launched this Clearing House, whose mission is to centralise club payments for transfers and to ensure the distribution of training compensation and solidarity contributions.

"The regulations, which will enter into force on 16/11/2022, are the result of FIFA's comprehensive transfer system reform and follow an extensive consultation process initiated by the FIFA Football Stakeholders Committee in 2017.
