Werder Bremen: Marco Bode should succeed Willi Lemke as chairman of the supervisory board

Marco Bode, former German international midfielder (40 caps, 9 goals), will stand for the chairmanship of the supervisory board of SV Werder Bremen (Bundesliga), announced the club on 15/10/2014. "It's the right time to take on more responsibility within Werder. I want to help the club to grow in the future," said the former Werder Bremen player and member of the club's supervisory board since 2012.

Marco Bode, 45, should replace Wilfried (Willi) Lemke, who announced his departure from the chairmanship of the supervisory board on 14/10/2014. "I will remain a member of the board until the end of my term in 2016," said Willi Lemke. "I'll also give my full support to Marco Bode," he added. The appointment of the new president will take place at the next meeting of the supervisory board scheduled in late October 2014, indicated several German media outlets on 15/10/2014.
