Sports agents: "The deregulation of the profession by FIFA has created anarchy" (S. Canard, UASF)

"The Union of French Sports Agents (UASF, Union des Agents Sportifs Français) is not hostile to any form of reform. The licence for sports agents has been maintained in France (after it was dropped in 2015 at FIFA level) due to an existing law at national level. The deregulation that FIFA has implemented a few years ago has created a form of anarchy. The fact that this anarchy has been replaced by a desire to reorganise the whole system is basically fine with us," said Stéphane Canard, president of UASF, to News Tank, on 23/10/2022.

The French agent licensed by the FFF is reacting to FIFA's reform of its Football Agent Regulations, though it was ultimately not adopted at the last meeting of the FIFA Council in Auckland (New Zealand) on 22/10/2022.
