Serie A: MP & Silva acquires international TV rights for the 2015-2018 period for €185m (up 58%)

The distribution of the international (excluding Italy) media rights to the Serie A TIM for the 2015 to 2018 period has been awarded to the media rights agency MP & Silva, announced the Lega Serie A (professional league that manages the Italian first division), following the its meeting on 20/10/2014. MP & Silva has distributed the international TV rights of the Serie A since 2004.

"Now, the procedure provides that the transfer of rights will be effective after the review from competition authorities, who have 45 days to render an opinion (so by 04/12/2014)," said Maurizio Beretta, the president of the Lega Serie A. MP & Silva will pay an average of €185m per season to the Lega Serie A during the 2015-2018 cycle, according to the Italian press on 20/10/2014.
