Canal+: new distribution agreement for the broadcasting of TF1 group's channels from 07/11/2022

"TF1 group and Canal+ group have reached an agreement that renews the long-term distribution of all of the TF1 group's DTT channels and their catch-up services, starting Monday, 07/11/2022," announced the two French groups on 04/11/2022.

"Subscribers to the Canal+ group's offers and TNTSAT subscribers will find all the live and replay programs of TF1, TMC, TFX, TF1 Séries Films, LCI and the major upcoming events (including) the 2022 World Cup," explained TF1 and Canal+.

Canal+ had initially decided that it would not be renewing its distribution agreement with the TF1 group for the broadcasting of its free DTT channels (TF1, TMC, TFX, TF1 Séries Films and LCI), due to "unfounded and unreasonable demands," announced to the free and pay-TV group on 02/09/2022. The channels have not been accessible via Canal+ since Friday 02/09/2022.

The Paris Court of Appeal had also confirmed the Paris Commercial Court's decision issued on 22/09/2022, which authorised Canal+ not to broadcast TF1's channels via its satellite offer TNT Sat, on 20/10/2022.
