Manchester City FC: a record turnover of £613m (+7.6%) & record net profit of £41.7m in 2021-22

Manchester City FC (Premier League), posted a record turnover (excluding capital gains on player transfers) of £613m (€710.5m as of 30/06/2022) for the 2021-22 financial year (01/07/2021 to 30/06/2022), up 7.6% on the 2020-21 financial year (£569.8m/€662.9m as of 30/06/2021), according to the club's financial report, published on 07/11/2022.

Manchester City, owned by City Football Group, also posted a record net profit of £41.7m (€48.3m) in 2021-22, "more than double the previous club record (£20.5m in 2015-16)," said the club.

Thanks to the return of fans to stadiums in England, Manchester City's matchday revenues rose from £732,000 (€0.8m) to £54.48m (€63.1m) in one year. Commercial revenues also increased to £309.47m (€358.6m) from £271.67 (€316m) the previous year. Conversely, TV rights revenues were down, amounting to £249.06m (€288.7m) at the end of the 2021-22 financial year, compared to £297.45m (€345.9m) in 2020-21.
