FIFA: partnership with Calm (wellness app) to promote mental health during competitions

FIFA has partnered with Calm, a US-based mobile wellness app, "to bring mental wellness tools to players, workforce and fans" for the 2022 World Cup, the Women's World Cup 2023 and the FIFAe Nations Cup 2023 (an esports competition organised with EA Sports), announced the body on 07/11/2022.

"As part of the collaboration, all players, coaches and training staff participating in both the men's and women's World Cups will receive free Calm subscriptions to help them prepare for matches, as well as the FIFA workforce and the thousands (25,000) of volunteers who support and facilitate the biggest football events on the planet," explained the international Federation. Fans will also benefit from special offers to access the application ahead of the 2022 World Cup.

Additionally, "Calm and FIFA will collaborate on creating mindfulness content intended to help members of the football community 'find their calm' on matchdays and beyond.
