AJ Auxerre: launch of an esports team on FIFA 23 to join the eLigue 1 in 2023

AJ Auxerre (Ligue 1 Uber Eats) has launched an esports team on the video game FIFA 2023 (published by EA Sports) in order to participate for the first time in the eLigue 1 in 2023, the competition organised by the Ligue de Football Professionnel, announced the club on 08/11/2022. To mark the occasion, AJ Auxerre have created a Twitter account dedicated to its esports team.

The eLigue 1 brings together only the esports teams of Ligue 1 clubs. 14 teams will take part in the seventh edition of this competition (compared to 10 in 2022), which is managed by the UniTeam agency. The esports section of FC Lorient retained their title of eLigue 1 champions in 2022 by beating Olympique de Marseille in the final (4-1) on 04/06/2022.

• AJ Auxerre will be represented by Deshe (2^nd best French player in 2022, eLigue 1 quarter-finalist in 2022) and Pain (eLigue 1 semi-finalist 2021, Top 22 eChampions League 2022).
  
  • Both players will be coached by Pedro (European champion in 2021 and French eLigue 1 champion in 2021 and 2022).
