AC Milan: Giorgio Furlani (ITA), member of the board of directors, to replace Ivan Gazidis as CEO

Giorgio Furlani (43, ITA) has been appointed CEO of AC Milan (Serie A TIM) and will succeed Ivan Gazidis (GRE/RSA), who is due to leave the club on 05/12/2022, announced AC Milan on 11/11/2022.

"A Milan native and lifelong Milanista, Furlani has served as a member of the AC Milan board of directors since 2018 and has played an integral role in the club's success under the ownership of Elliott Advisors, from which he will step down to take up the position of CEO at AC Milan," said the 2021-22 Italian champions, who have been owned by the American investment fund RedBird Capital Partners since 31/08/2022.

"I want to thank Gerry (Cardinale) and the RedBird team for giving me the great honour of leading the club I love as it embarks on the next phase of its revival. I look forward to working with chairman (Paolo) Scaroni, Paolo Maldini (sporting strategy and development director), Stefano Pioli (head coach) and the rest of the club's leadership.
