Spain: Telefonica sells Copa del Rey TV rights in public places to Orange & LaLigaTV Bar

The Spanish subsidiary of the French telecommunications group Orange and the LaLigaTV Bar channel have acquired, under sublicense from the telecommunications operator Telefonica, the rights to broadcast the Copa del Rey in public establishments and the hotel sector in Spain for the 2022-23 season, on 11/11/2022.

The agreement with Orange includes establishments in the hospitality sector, and will also allow the operator's subscribers to access the matches of the competition for which Telefonica holds the broadcasting rights (at least 55 matches each season), at no additional cost. "Orange TV also includes RTVE (Spanish public group) in its package, which will broadcast 15 Copa del Rey matches free-to-air," explained the telecommunications operator.

LaLigaTV Bar will broadcast a minimum of 13 matches in the first and second rounds, 13 matches in the Round of 32, as well as all matches in the Round of 16, quarter-finals, semi-finals and the final in public establishments (bars, restaurants, hospitals, etc.).
