Qatar 2022: 100% of matches free-to-air in the UK, 75% in Germany, 44% in France, 31% in Spain

The free-to-air private channel TF1 and the pay-TV group beIN Sports France, share the broadcasting rights, in France, to the 2022 World Cup, which were acquired on 14/01/2016. 44% of the matches in the competition will be broadcast free-to-air. TF1 will broadcast 28 matches, including 12 matches in the final phase (five Round of 16, three quarter-finals, the semi-finals, the match for third place and the final). beIN Sports France will broadcast all 64 matches of the competition on its channels, including 36 on an exclusive basis (including three Round of 16 matches and one quarter-final).

• In the UK, 100% of the matches will be broadcast free-to-air. The British public broadcaster BBC and the British free-to-air television group ITV will co-broadcast the competition after acquiring the broadcasting rights at the same time as the those for the 2018 World Cup on 07/06/2014.
