"We found a very high level of organisation within the local committees, the ministry of sports and in the host cities and in charge of the stadiums. Everybody seems very motivated and we leave Russia with a very high level of satisfaction," said Christian Unger, head of the FIFA (Federation Internationale de Football Association) Inspection Commission of his first visit to Russia and the sites of the World 2018 on 21/10/2014.

"So far, the pace looks good. We have a few stadiums already completed (...), but we still have work to do to adapt the stadiums to meet FIFA criteria. We conducted our inspections so far in four cities and studied the plans of six others," said Christian Unger. The delegation included 40 experts from FIFA and the Russian organisation responsible for overseeing the progress of work of the stadiums of the 2018 World Cup host sites.
