Tennis: record annual prize money of $217.9m to be distributed by the ATP in 2023 (+20.8% vs 2022)

$217.9m (€209.7m) is the record total that will be shared by tennis players on the Association of Tennis Professionals' professional circuit (ATP Tour and ATP Challenger Tour) in 2023, announced the body on 17/11/2022.

This prize money is an increase of $37.5m (€36m, +20.8%) compared to 2022 ($180.4m, or €159m as of 01/01/2022), without taking into account the tournaments cancelled during this season. These figures do not include the prize money for the four Grand Slam tournaments.

"Players will receive an increase of $18.6m of on-site prize money paid out across the ATP Tour, led by the expansion of three ATP Masters 1000 tournaments from eight to 12-day events. A further two ATP Masters 1000 events are set to expand in 2025, creating more days of action and playing opportunities at top-tier ATP events," explained the ATP.
