Saudi Arabia: adidas succeeds Nike as the Federation's equipment supplier for 2023-2026

adidas has become the official equipment supplier of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation (SAFF) for four years (2023-2026), announced the body on 17/11/2022. The agreement covers the match and training kit for the men's, women's and youth teams.

The German equipment manufacturer succeeds the American brand Nike, which has been committed to the Saudi Federation for ten seasons (2011-2022). The SAFF announced that this agreement would not be renewed at the end of 2022, on 16/11/2022. Nike was paying the body an estimated annual fee of €500,000, one of the lowest amounts received by a team participating in the 2022 World Cup.

The Saudi Arabian national team will therefore play its last World Cup in Qatar wearing Nike kits. In Group C, of which they are part, the American brand also equips Poland (since 2009, €6m/season). Their other two opponents are under contract with adidas: Argentina (1974-2022, €23m/season) and Mexico (2007-2022, €10.6m/season).
