Rugby/EPCR: Kappa extends as "technical apparel partner" for European Cup officials until 2024-25

Kappa, an Italian equipment manufacturer belonging to the BasicNet group, has extended its contract with the European Professional Club Rugby as a "technical apparel partner" of the Heineken Champions Cup and EPCR Challenge Cup, and will provide referee and staff kits for a further three seasons (2022-2025), announced the body on 23/11/2022.

The Italian brand has partnered with the European Professional Club Rugby since 2019. "The agreement is extended at a pivotal time for the tournaments with the historic introduction of the leading South African clubs," said EPCR. South African clubs have been participating in the body's competitions since the 2022-23 season.

"“We are very happy to continue this European adventure with EPCR which began in 2019, and it reinforces once again our position as a major rugby kit supplier. The integration of South African clubs this season will give Kappa an even stronger visibility and we are proud to be part of this historic change," said Rémi Garnier, marketing and commercial director for Kappa.
